Roger Federer clearly..he wasted his early 20s not being that good and letting Andy Roddick win a major.

Everyone posting Michael Jordan please punch yourself in the face until you are unconscious, then try again.

Earl Manigault? Not sure how good he could have been, but definitely a waste

No one's mentioned Michelle Wie?

While we are at it, lets include the Aggasi/Graf baby. Kid hasn't even won a match at Wimbledon.

This reminds me:
Does Bjron Borg deserve some consideration here?
The dude surprisingly retired at 26 in 1983.
And this after he only played just one tournament in 1982 so he had mostly retired from his burn-out at just 25.

11 grand-slam titles is tied for 3rd all-tiem with Federer.
6 French Opens and 5 Wimbledons.
Won his first grand-slam when he was only 18.

The guy was great, some would still say he was the best ever, but likely could have put up even more ridiculous numbers if he hadn't decided to call it quits at 25.

This is easily MJ the guy choose to spend 2yrs in his prime playing a sport he sucked at, how is that not a massive waste from arguably the greatest basketball player ever.

Remember Jordan didn't choose baseball, he was serving his gambling suspension on the QT
