Ive been playing at FTP for a very long time and never had any problems, you have to realize that the more you do with your account (like xfers and stuff of that nature) the more risk you set yourself for with something like this.

Re: (OT) FT locks kyleb\'s acct, xpost from zoo
umm... this is a joke of a thread. Let's be serious, he is *cough* staking *cough* players with large sums of money to play microstakes until they can cash it all out and go use it for sports betting. Give me a break, although the support issue is completely different (sure, maybe they are horrible, I don't play there), it doesn't change the fact that it is really an idiotic idea to do what he was doing. Sure, FTP should prolly just cash out his $ and close his acct. or whatever, but the fact that poker is trying to gain ground in the US, and this is one of the primary reasons (laundering... yes yes, money laundering, I think that's clear even if FT's policy abides by it cause they played the hands) that it's having trouble in legislation. So seriously... they would be alot safer to check it out and return the funds, than just return the funds and have it come up in a court case against them... come on guys...

Yea every one of the "account locked" stories has a similar theme to it: "I was transferring/playing with <playername> but it was all legit stuff" or "I cashed out x amount of money but I played some hands so this is bs."
Compounded by fairly poor customer service, these things might look scary but unless you're running some mass staking operation you should be ok. |
