Default NL $25 - 66 in LP -please comment on all streets

I am the button. Called Villains raise pre-flop mainly because of position.

Villains flop bet smelled like a continuation bet. I re-raised to see his reaction.

Turn - I bet to show continued aggression. Trying to represent a big pair or set betting to build pot.

River - villain checks again showing weakness so I push with the full house. My expectation was that villain would only call the all in with 77 or TT.

Wow, this is terrible if you are bluffing.

They will never ever fold a T or better here.

The two on the river only helped villain. The turn bet wasn't enough to scare his JJ+, and he's not folding river with a pair higher than Ts.

I would have bet more on turn (if I were to try to bluff this) and then given up on river.

This is a major spew. I don't mind the flop raise to pick off a cb (though I would have just called and reevaluated the turn). But once he calls the flop raise, he pretty much has an overpair the vast majority of the time--not too many people call a decent flop raise with missed over cards. Once he calls the flop, shut it down. And when he calls the turn, he's definitely calling the river with his boat. I honestly think the river bet (and the turn too for that matter) can only be considred a bluff (with very little chance of success against somenone who obviously has JJ or greater). People almost never fold a boat on the river even if they suspect they're beat. In sum, you should have give up after the flop and saved yourself $20.

How would you have played it?

From your comment - I take it you think the all-in on the flop was a donk-bet. So what about the flop and turn and do you fold at any point?

Thanks.

I would have given up after the flop and been happy to check behind. I might have called a small river bet.

If I really thought I could bluff villain, as I wrote, I would have bet more on turn. However, after he called flop raise, he's probably not folding.

Hanning,

What do you base that statement on? More likely you just wanted to believe that it was a c-bet. I think alot of people get carried away wanting to do this type of stuff too much at NL25 without a read that villain raises too much and c-bets everytime.

Still, your flop play is okay. But you've just gotta let it go after you take your stab. And villain will call that all-in with any T. Heck at NL25, they'll look you up alot of times with any 7 here.

Flop= Fine, if you think he has air here...
Tunr= IDK....he already raised, c-bet, called a raise..he's not going to be worried about the 2...
Rier: Take the free showdown! Any better pair has you beat!

*buzz* Thank you for playing.

Since he was EP raiser here he has a pretty narrow range, but all of the following are in his range and they all beat you: ATs, JTs, JJ, QQ, KK, AA. Oh, and they all call.

Read dependent. Against a good TAG I play this for set value, preflop is good and I c/f the flop. Against a LAG, or if my image is weak-tight, the flop is good also, but I check behind the turn and c/f a non-miracle river.
