Re: New to 5-10nl 6 max - my first 1K hands at 23BB/100
lol, yeah 1K hands is a joke of a hand sample.
just that playing 1-2nl for so long and reading these forums for the past couple of years i always thought that the 5-10nl would be incredible to play and only the real masters could win there. But its just the same as 1-2nl and 2-4nl. i know ive been very lucky to hit a good run of cards, but taking that aspect away, you still just have to observe the other players like crazy/use poker office as i do, and just come up with your game plan against each different player. Maybe ive just become a sodding good player and now this is all much easier than i used to find it (yes, i know its easy to say that when youve had a good run of cards, and when you cant seem to log a winning session no matter how focused you play its seems like an impossible game to win) just that im surprised that there are still predictable tight players (who are easy to bluff at 5-10 than 1-2 as they value the money more and are likely 4-tabling and dont notice your bluffing them off hands), some calling stations and the odd wild player. I thought they'd be a much higher % of unpredictable semi-loose aggressives like myself. |
