Default What is Position Worth?

G'day, I've been experimenting with loosening up my 3-betting range. My results, generally, have been crapful. So, the question is, what equity do we think we need versus a villain's range when in position? I thought about 45% should be fine but, as I said, I've suddenly been running awful.
Perhaps, because the initial pre-flop raiser has the option of capping, I need at least 50-60% equity against his range. I'm wondering what everyone thinks, Cheers, Mahogany17.

i think stox goes over this in his book.

something to consider is how many players are left to act and how loose they are.
