Re: Awkward AA Multiway
Yeah I agree w/ everyone saying bet the turn, not sure why I decided to check there. I bet $85 on the river, button called and BB folded, button had K7o ftw.

Re: Awkward AA Multiway
I could see why checking the turn might not be bad....you bet 2/3 of the pot and got TWO callers...going into a defensive check/call/reevaluate mode isn't too bad after that.

Re: Awkward AA Multiway
agree with earlier posters, leading is probably easiest to play, because even if button can read hands and lay down KQ the donk is still going to pay another street if he has something.
after your turn check, bb's call doesnt bother me too much, .5 agg doesnt mean he isn't going to raise with two pair or sets. i expect that you have his range well beaten. button's im not so sure about, multiway pots play a lot like full ring and thus he has at least KQ if he is okay at poker. i thought about a turn checkraise (now that you got here) but if button has tpgk+ then you're probably going to get a lot of money in bad sometimes. if you call his tiny bet and block river for 80, you better be able to fold for 100 more. if you're going to call the next 100 then you might as well shove the turn because a river raise is never a bluff. point is be careful not to get 90bb in on the river. you're right, awkward hand. |
