How bad is this? Villain was decent. Table had tightened up quite a bit since the blinds got so high, a lot was settled pre-flop.
Yes, I'm posting this to get berated. But I want to hear reasons. We're down to about 50, 18 pay. I was about average but just took a beat so now I'm a little under. It is really opponent dependent, but you have to look at it this way, MP1 3bet preflop, which means he is not a maniac that he probably has some sort of low hand. Thus he is most likely calling a 2 low card board. Which means raising him is not getting him to fold, thus you should probably just check/fold flop. Best case scenario is that he has A2HH, but even then you are not that much of a favorite

You should fold this hand preflop.
1) Your under the gun with high only hand, can't assume you will just be able to steal the blinds in this position and you can't afford to waste chips on this type of hand 2) few short stacks who will commit most of their chips if they play a hand. 3) What happenened in this completely expected, you let someone freeroll you in this hand if you were ever ahead. High only hands go down in value as blinds go up and your high hand isn't that good in the first place. |
