NBA 07/08 markets
hey guys im from australia and i found this market for MVPon one of our sportsbettn sights. can u see any good value here. i like nash and dwade at 9-1. Kobe to short. Wat do use think of durant could he come out and dominate in his rookie year because 150-1 looks allright

This is the championship market. its hard for me to keep up with whats going on in off season but i cant believe twolves at 10-1. im thinking maybe washington/ jazz good value here but as i said i havent kept up with off season.

I think Duncan and Parker are both undervalued in the MVP. If the Spurs amass the best regular season record, one of these guys is likely to win it. Duncan's numbers have been a little bit down, and he'll be a year older, but still, 21:1 is a good price. Parker, on the other hand, just keeps getting better, and is ready to challenge Nash for the title of best PG in the league. However, there is an issue that a split between voters as to which one should win could result in it going to a third player.
For the championship, I like the idea of covering the top 3. You'd be getting 1.5:1 if the Suns win, 5:3 on the Mavs and 2:1 on the Spurs. I think the odds are better than 1.5:1 for one of these three teams to win it all. Betting Durant = burning $. 1) He can't even dominate in summer league. How is he going to dominate against Shawn Marion and Carmelo Anthony? 2) He couldn't bench press 185 lbs (physical strength is more important than a lot of people think in the NBA, moreso for forwards than for guards). 3) He's never played anything close to an 82 game season. A weak rookie forward will get banged to hell over the course of 82 games. It's going to take hime 20 games to adjust to the league, and the last 20 games he's going to be exhausted. That only leaves half a season for him to be in top form. Durant may win the MVP in three years, but not this year. It's a bad bet even at 1500-1.
