Preflop good. Flop and turn bad.

There is no reason to 3bet this because it's going to be capped and bet on the turn something like 90+% of the time. One of your opponents will often (usually?) have a set here and when either does AA/AK is often going to play aggressively anyhow.

Calling the turn is close if you knew it would only be two bets too often it's going to cost you four here...

the flop sucks pretty bad, but an argument can be made against every street.

Obviously.

Well, my thought process on the flop was that I was getting an immediate 21-2 with the worst case potential being 28-4. So, if I was calling (and expecting action to continue behind me), I thought I should be 3-betting to try to slow down things (keep in mind that I cold-capped pre-flop).

Looking back I realize my implied odds were crap considering I would have to dodge a ton on the river if I caught on the turn and with 4 to the straight on board, it would be unlikely that I could recoup much of the cost to call there.

On the turn, I really expected the action to slow, paying 23-3 at the very worst to see the river (and 21-2 immediately). I couldn't really put anyone on a FD, so I considered all 4 outs good there.

I know I didn't include reads initially, but the two aggressors here are decent 30/10/1.5ish types and the button was pretty new, which led me to believe that the action wasn't getting capped on the turn.
