Re: 5-10 NLH Bellagio - Top 2 on Scary Board
Kind of read based, but default is push here.
It kind of sucks, but no other option :\ |

If you were as deep as your opponents, I wouldn't like a push nearly as much, but with 130 BB's, I think it's the clear move.

you have to go all in, i don't think there are many other options. he'll have 77 some % of the time, of course, but he'll have an overpair since he was the pfr or a big draw or maybe even TPTK or something enough to where you simply can't do anything but stick that shizzz in da middle

Re: 5-10 NLH Bellagio - Top 2 on Scary Board
Possibly got a A8 so a straight draw or a nuts flush draw, if you go all in, i can see the initial raiser put you all in after the turn and unless you hit another 9 or 10 but you wouldnt want all your money on the line before this point so you have to either have the intention of pushing all in once the turn hits or be prepared to call his all in - at this stage you can still very much get away from the hand.
Personally i would fold as any eventual flush / trips / straight beats you, depends on your reads and bearing in mind he raised preflop. |

Looks like a flush draw to me, being at the stack you have, I'd shove here always.

Re: 5-10 NLH Bellagio - Top 2 on Scary Board
I had a similar experience in a recent tournament, 1,000 euro buyin event, i flopped top two pair with QJx on the board but the other guy turned a flop after putting 3.5k chips from 5k chips into the pot i was pretty gutted to see his flush, but i had opportunities to get away from the hand - i just fell in love with it.
It's probably been said before but i think what defines a poker player as much as his bets and wins are his ability to laydown great hands at precisely the right time, wether we realise or not it was the right thing to do. |
