Smoking (weed) vs. Drinking

different places different needs, I can't really go to a party and get stoned and have the same time I could if I was just drinking and by the same token I can't sit around on a sunday morning drinking and watching movies i've seen a dozen times before but i can stoned.

I only smoke, stopped drinking about 10+ years ago. I maybe will have some sake with sushi once a year, but I'm a stoner.

Most of my friends smoke and drink. If smoking was legal they would just smoke but its easier to drink so they do that too...almost equally. One friend stopped smoking since his job does random tests.

I'll drink socially (and no, I don't mean sip 2 beers), but I don't go out of my way to drink unless I'm going to a party, club, etc.

Much rather smoke than drink.

by myself id rather smoke for sure, its a quicker buzz and i can still function normally and do things that need to get done during the day. With a group of friends or at parties or bars id prefer drinking over smoking.

Same here, I feel like I can't function at all and really don't enjoy the feeling of sitting there confused and panicy for hours.

I used to do both until I got caught with weed and am on a year of probation with random piss tests.

I used to end my days at about 8-10pm by lighting up a bowl/joint/bong, relaxing, and watching a movie. Now I cant do that.

So I've replaced it with drinking a 6pack and watching a movie.


If I had to choose between beer(or alcohol in general) and weed, I'd go for weed in a HEARTBEAT (assuming I wasn't in any major legal danger).

You can think and function while you're on it.
I can play poker while smoking without hurting my $/hr too much.
It relaxes me more.
It's better for you.
Much less risk of dependency (I went from 2 years of very regular use to quitting without any problem. Quitting weed is nothing and anybody who has trouble with it is a pussy)


I'd gladly give up alcohol forever if it meant I could smoke whenever without consequences.

Unfortunately I live in a town with archaic laws that [censored] me over hard for having about 1 joints worth of crappy weed.

So yeah, I vote very enthusiastically for weed. And in 9 months I can smoke it again [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

Oh I'm not saying it is globally like that. Everybody has their drug of choice - weed is mine.
