What did he have, KK? Then, yeah, it worked. Obviously. A boat will call anything.

The problem with the huge overbet is that you lose the guy when he has AK or something, which is far more often than KK.

i'd like to see a value bet much more here, but i don't think you are getting called often because that K is the worst card in the deck for him to see other than the A

With the overbet, AA, KK, and AK probably call, but since villain was giving action before this and he flat called preflop, he probably has a middle pp and not one of those hands.

Lot of Jd going on in this hand.

Hate this overbet on this river because if he has 88 or 66 etc. he is going not going to enjoy that but could well call a smaller bet. So unless he is highly suspicious or thinks he is some kind of hero at sniffing out bluffs then I would make a normal size bet.
