At this level, it's hard to get people to fold pre-flop to a single raise, so I would fold pre-flop. If you had a good expectation that you could get heads up, then your hand becomes much stronger. However, an AA without much else going for it is tough to play 4 handed.

Flop call is also probably loose, since you say SB is ok. Once in a while people will bluff on that kind of flop, but once he continues bet on the turn I would fold.

All that said, I am a n00b myself so perhaps someone will chime in and correct me.

No way I fold this hand prefop at this limit. It has potential. If I believe he has me beat, I fold the flop. it is player dependant, will the Villian bet a jack or a flopped boat or will he wait and try to check raise? If I call the flop and turn, I make a crying call on the river.

I don't raise this hand preflop in middle position but I am told( rightfully so after some reflection) that I play way too passively.

The raise preflop did buy him the button, I like that.
I would raise or fold on the flop, I think calling is the worst option.

I like it.

LMAO @ folding preflop.

Like the raise preflop. Calling on the flop/turn is nice too. I think Jxxx is a HUGE part of his range. Folding the river is easy, I can't see what else he fires 3 barrels with here that you beat.

You cant fold this hand preflop hand at this level. But I think raising is a mistake unless the rest of the table respects your play and the blinds are super tight. If you think raising can get you HU, then do it. The play works a little better if you can force everyone to call three bets cold.

Unfortunately, your raise didn't work and now the pot is a little too big and you're probably forced to call down. I agree, if you're calling the flop and the turn on a flush/ace draw, then you should probably call the river. I don't think I'm calling the turn though.

Consider raising the flop to see where you are at. Then, if I meet resistance, I fold. This saves having to call large bets on the turn and river.

NEVER fold this hand preflop at this level. There are very few games in which you would fold this hand preflop.

Maybe this is bad thinking, but my thought at the time was, "I'm calling for my draws AND the small chance that I might be ahead... and if I am ahead, he's not gonna 3-barrel me with anything I beat, so hopefully I'll get a free showdown if I am ahead..."

I thought maybe I was playing against a weak enough opponent that this logic was sound. But I don't know.
