Apparently they do - but if it doesn't last that far, then the levels must match from day to day. So if they play down to a low number in 4 levels and stop, they only play 4 levels tomorrow.

So they've lost about 120 players so far today... let's say they stop right now. If they lose 120 players by this time tomorrow, they're already into the money... how the hell is that going to work?
