I'm thinking it's not right to check the flop on this one due to the draws available. It seems much better to lead here because your hand is doing well against the 2 villians calling ranges.

After the flop cold call and turn card a check/call is looking better to me as the T helped villians range but also added 4 outs to you're hand.

Ugh at that river. A check gives our villian a chance to bet a busted flush draw some of the time so maybe a check/call. Really AT and a busted flush are all we are beating now. I guess you could add a floated mid pair like 99's or something but I'm thinking they can't bet river.

Yeah no reason to check the flop here...in fact entire hand is great until the river. I'm checking the river, mainly because I think sets and AK may just check behind, but call a push. For me, that outweights getting value from AT or A8 or another retarded 2 pair or single A hand. if he pushes it sucks, because I can't really imagine a made hand we beat thinking they can bet the river for value. I'd probably call anyway because of the sick large pot, but all we really have if he pushes the river is a bluff/retard catcher. I do think the over 3:1 odds more than compensate for the retard factor however, so I'd begrudgingly call.

Folks, Hero didn't check the flop. BB check-folded. Hero bet out.

I'd check the river and hope for a check. I'd probably call a small bet, but would have a hard time calling a push.

Sorry for the confusion mutiger I didn't mean to imply that hero checked the flop I was refering to an earlier thread and how the 2 differed.

Also you mentioned it would be hard to call a push on the river after you check and I disagree. You are getting 3-1 to call and by checking you increase the villian's range of hands he is pushing with. I agree it's ugly but I think it's right to call.

What a [censored] river card. Check/fold might be best here.

I mean, the hands that he bets that don't contain a J (AK, sets) have you beat anyway right? Will he really bet AT or A9 on this board if you check? I think most hands he bets on this river contain a J or are better hands anyway. So check/fold (obviously hope he checks behind).

Oh yeah, I don't think there is any reason to bet. He might call with AT, but mostly betting doesn't win anything either.

I think you may be right on the river sherman, but 3.3:1 is awfully hard to pass up.

I would check/fold as A8 and A10 is the only thing that you beat. The exception is if he's a total fool and loves Ax.
