Re: 6.50 Stars...folding AK after flopping TPTK
With no reads I dont mind just calling the reraise PF since you have position.
As played I think you have to push over the reraise on the flop. Worst case scenario vs AA,KK,TT, and any QQ,JJ,AK with a heart and you are getting pot odds (+chipEV) to push. Chuck in a few extra hands or take out TT from the range and you are well ahead of pot odds and being the 1st hand theres a good chance you're up against the biggest donk on the table. I would probably just shove the flop the 1st time around. |

[/ QUOTE ] Think about the flop play. When is this not going to be a monster? A monotone KJ flop after he 3-bets pre-flop, and he check min-raises you. This is the classic donkey HUGE hand play. You are like 90%+ of the time drawing to runner runner or drawing DEAD. You do not have pot odds to continue here. You pretty much never have the pot odds necessary in this situation. [ QUOTE ] and being the 1st hand theres a good chance you're up against the biggest donk on the table. [/ QUOTE ] That's frankly the only positive thing to say about shoving this flop. |

Re: 6.50 Stars...folding AK after flopping TPTK
I think the classic donkey huge hand play would be a flatcall or a minimum (or close to it) reraise preflop instead of to t300. Its difficult to come up with a specific range here, I tend to assume donkedness until proven otherwise. If you were certain they were on a monster preflop you would just fold to the reraise.

If you weren't certain pre-flop, then you know it by the action on this flop for sure.

I just limp pre flop. As played after reraised i shove pre-flop.
As played again, i shove the reraise. |

Re: 6.50 Stars...folding AK after flopping TPTK
I agree with 3-betting the pre-flop. At the level you're playing at the chances of him being a total donkey are very good. At worst he comes back for all-in and you're most likely ahead. Had you done this you don't have to worry about the scary flop you saw.

Limping pre-flop with AK in the CO is missing out on value. Do you not like $$$? Raising it should not be debateable here.
