one reason why he isnt playing on b2b could be that he is(was?) sponsored by bestpoker who changed from b2b to ongame

I don't think many people play on B2B any more!

There used to be quite a lot of high stakes games there but I think they've all dried up. The first time I ever heard of Sbrugby was when he turned up and played Antonius at e100/200 NLHE. (Guess this is like $150/300). Both players have long since left the site. I guess it still has a Scandinavian player pool, but most of the English playuers surely left when the Gutshot skin closed down. I still fire up another skin from time to time but there never seems to be much action.

Whilst most World Series hopefuls arrive via hoof or crook (what these cabbies charge should be a crime), others opt to travel with a bit more style and class.

After my Ghetto Budget Express cab skids to a halt, my head slamming into a bunch of strip club adverts, I stumble from the cab and bump into a super-stretch limo. I walk around it, cursing its existence (along with the Gutshot budget which doesn't allow for such extravagances) and I wait to see who exits its posh interior.

''Have a great day, sir,'' the limo driver says as he opens the door.

''Thanks,'' comes the reply from the man stepping into the 120-degree heat, wearing as much black as Johnny Cash: Erik Friberg.

I match my pace to his walking towards the front door of the Rio; this isn't hard as he saunters with a confidence reserved for those without worries about World Series performance, given his final table appearance last year at the Main Event.

As he is one of our adopted children here at Gutshot.com, I ask, ''You going to do us all proud today?''

''I hope so.''

''As long as you top your amazing 2006.''

He smiles, perhaps realizing that no matter how skilled he is, making the final table amongst 6000+ others is a herculean feat. Then he says, ''I plan on winning.''

See you at the final table (again), Mr. Friberg.

And, next time, if you think about it, offer to give me a ride to the Rio as these cabs are just too cramped.

I think he played great but I think when prahlad is on his game he is miles better than frieberg and cunningham at their best

Young Scandinavian pro who nearly final tabled at last year's WSOP. Used to play big on B2B then after the WSOP was seen in the big games on Full Tilt. Now I hardly ever see him - sometimes he pops up but not playing higher than $50/$100, so it seems he hasn't been able to stay in the big games.

You know what I'm getting at here.

BUSTO?

Sadly this is one of luckyjimm's better posts.
