Default 2/4 - Play along with me

I didnt post this in mid-stakes because I felt this wasnt that tricky. Just want to see what you guys' standard play in this hand is.

Villain is RunThisTable. Hes a pretty solid regular from my experience, no specific reads yet as I just started dipping into 2/4 again. We do have some history this session though. I 3bet him about 20 hands ago in position with 55. Flop came King high, I c-bet, he called. I turned my 5, checked. I jammed river and he called with AK. Anyways, heres the hand in question.

Poker Stars - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $2/$4 Blinds - 6 Players - (LegoPoker HH Converter)

Hero (SB): $730.90
BB: $199.30
UTG: $400.00
MP: $397.80
CO: $530.65
BTN: $404.50

Preflop: Hero is dealt K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (6 Players)
3 folds, BTN raises to $12.00, Hero raises to $38.00, BB folds, BTN calls $26.00

Flop: ($80) 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (2 Players)

Pot Size: $80.00

Whats your standard flop play here? C-bet? Check/call? Check/raise?

If we bet and he raises, do we pitch it? We'll go street by street with this...

I'm probably about 25% check/shove and 75% CB/fold. In either case if I see the turn I probably bet hard. All my instincts are honed to full-ring though, might need some tweaking short handed.

If you check, then he probably won't bet a hand that can't call a check-raise. If you bet, you can't call a shove. If you bet and he calls and you check the turn, you can't call a turn bet.

So I think I like check/fold flop and bet turn. Or maybe more thin/tricky: check/call flop and lead/fold blank turn.

Bet/fold is also fine if you think he's calling you thin pre.

I checked the flop, he checked behind. Turn came 8h. What do you do?

Is checking the flop bad? It seems theres tons of options, im just unsure which is best...

I probably c/c the turn as well. If you bet and get raised you need to fold, and we're not too happy about that outcome. If we're ahead he's probably drawing slim anyways.
