my logic here is that a 7 is unlikely because he called a preflop raise, KK, AA is unlikely because he limped

but should I believe his bets anyways?

I hate hate hate going to the wall with these marginal hands

I think a read on villian is crucial. You got top pair but your cont bet is check raised then your led into on the turn, so villian either wants to build the pot or is trying a move. I think if im willing to play for my stack with the hand I push it all in against the check raise. Without a read I probably play it the way you did but let it go on the turn bet. I wonder if thats too tight at this level?

You cant call the flop dude, you have to raise or fold because you are always going to face another bet from villain on the turn. I shove the flop personally because you are ahead of his range of hands and you'll get looked up by KQ/QJ types a lot.

wise words yes. the only card which u want to see on the turn is another Q. Very unlikely, so u should decide now whether u play on or u fold. do u believe he has the 7? do u think he would slowplay KK AA preflop?. i think your ok here i shove. if he called u preflop with 7/8 then thats just ul.
