Calling is horrible, I'm not sure why you did it.

UTG very likely has you beat here; he probably wanted you to shove over him pf.

I put the donk SS on overcards and BB on AA/KK the vast majority of the time. Once in a while BB will have AKs and be trying to spike an A or K, but I think most of the time he is trying to trap you here.

uh....not wrong. if you call in this spot everytime, you will lose more than you make thus making the decision -EV. you can try it out if you want, but we wont want to see all the boohoo posts after the fack. just because one donk did it with AJ doesnt mean that every donk you see will.

uh... Who said anything about calling everytime in this spot. Against the two villans I am playing with, who both hold AJ and TT, JJ is a good call here, especially considering that UTG is capable of pushing allin with AJ of a 9, 10, K board... numpty

Theres $18 out there and its only another $4 for me to call, I have JJ against UTG who I want to be playing with... now why is a call a bad idea again?? ...I know that at worst Im only a coinflip to the reraiser. and thers even a chance that the 2 villan both have each others cards... i can with $38 or so, by making the $4 call... in position, 90% sure that I have the best hand.

Push pre-flop. Shorty can have anything. You want to get heads up with him and UTG is dead money.

I know, but I guess I was just looking for that one hand where I can bust UTG. If I push, UTG is probably going to fold, if I smooth call im giving him the chance to donate all of his chips. And it was that hand, but im just not good enough to call in that spot.
