Re: T7o in the SB
[ QUOTE ]
are you bluffing???? bb has the 92 of clubs and cant call and button has A-8 that is scared to death BB flopped the balls. [/ QUOTE ] I thought I could get the button to fold a better 7 for one sec, then, I thought, wait, he doesn't have a better one... I knew what BB had, as do you. (same principle at least.) |

Re: T7o in the SB
[ QUOTE ]
If you're going to play poorly postflop go ahead and fold preflop :-p. Seriously though, just check the flop and see. I think betting in this spot makes playing the hand easier for your opponents and harder for you. Somehow you ended up with with second pair on the river in a large 3 way pot. When I'm running/playing bad I always end up in spots like that somehow. They should be avoided. [/ QUOTE ] I think the flop bet is near standard. I'm up against two poor playing limpers and a random hand, I have the nuts way too often, and obv, a draw to the nuts. |

From flop action seems like BB has u beat.. [/ QUOTE ] Bah, he's jamming a draw. The player is solid, there is a draw on the flop, if he has flopped a strong hand, he's fast playing. This is exactly what I would do, and what you should do with a hand like 9cxc, a "rope-a-dope" my equity favorite on the flop, tie players to the pot. |

Re: T7o in the SB
Really. You have middle pair and a straight draw that could be second best striaght and that will not get much action and there's a flush draw as well. Making two pair is going to be ugly and while your hand may be best now, there are a lot of cards that will be ugly still in play. And you're out of position. A lot of negatives.

[ QUOTE ] and that will not get much action and there's a flush draw as well. [/ QUOTE ] so discount the 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] we still have 5 outs to call the first raise getting 8:1. [/ QUOTE ] true, it's not a good spot... I still don't see how this can possibly be a fold though. It seems you are overestimating our reverse implied odds for those times he has the made str8 or those times we make a str8 but lose to a flush. |
