I'm pretty sure north Florida has poker rooms. Driving further to south Florida just doesn't make sense unless you have friends/relatives or just want to see the glorious sunshine state (with daily humidty that hovers around 60%-70% or higher and we can't forget the afternoon thunderstorms).

From someone that lives in Florida 10 minutes from the Hollywood Hard Rock, don't come here to play poker. If the intent of your trip is to play poker and you can't make it as far as the western US, go to Tunica or Atlantic City.

When in Tampa, forget the Hard Rock as there are many more better venues.......DERBY LANE, TAMPA DOWNS, TAMPA GREYHOUND, and the TREASURE ISLAND BOAT.

Higher buy-ins and blinds outside the state of Florida...........Florida allows only a 100 dollar maximum buy-in.

Tunica is your best choice.
