If you asked your son what he wanted as a gift, and he said a certain toy, and you went to one toy store and they didn't have it, would you give up? Would you actually go to another store to try to find it? I don't have kids, I don't want kids, but if I had them, I would make the extra effort. Once they are here, why not act like you love them?

[/ QUOTE ]

if i went to buy the toy, was told by a greeter at the door that they definitely had the toy, but then subsequently found out the greeter was wrong and possibly incompetent, i wouldn't expect the store to produce the toy somehow and then complain about the store on an internet message board. i'd just decide the store probably sucks and not go there anymore.

[/ QUOTE ]

This is not an apt analogy. DUCY?

The point I was trying to make is that we would have gone to another store. Just like we would have gone to another restaurant. This was in reply to people saying they didn't believe we would have gone somewhere else. Also, in your analogy, no money is really spent in said store, we have the option before purchasing to go somewhere else. We found out our promise would be broken at the end of dinner, after we had ordered, eaten and spent money there, so the comparison really is a poor one.

Sorry to break it to you, but buying kids toys != love, no matter how much the pretty ladies on the television commercials make you think otherwise.

I actually preemptively put you on ignore so I wouldn't have to read whatever retarded snippy one-liner you were going to make in response. I'm guessing I made the right decision.
