As for Jay: "lol Jennifertillyments" is good strat advice? Thanks pal.

[/ QUOTE ]

I think this is pretty good advice to be fair. If someone said this in one of my posts I would know exactly what I had done wrong.

Very true. Raise flop. As played definately bet the river. What are you calling down for if you are just going to check behind once you make your hand? Only betting with the nuts?!? Hahahah!

No, I was just genuinely interested to see how many people would say to raise the flop or not. As for Jay: "lol Jennifertillyments" is good strat advice? Thanks pal. The only reason I posted a response is because the responses turned into "do you hate money?" and things like that. Anyways, I was genuine when I said thanks for the responses, though I can see how it came off as being sarcastic. If I wanted to "show off" I would've just put this in BBV. Have a nice day all.

Jay's response and mine are good strat advice. Check-behind on river is an extremely bad play. You call two streets on your flush draw and then check behind when it hits? You have to hate money to not value bet the river here. You lose value from everything. On the occasional rare event that villain shows up with a boat, whatever, he takes my stack. The other 99% of the time where villain has a T, a Q, a straight... I get another bet.

Stop being such a whiny bitch and don't post hands you played badly if you don't want to be told you play them badly. This hand is clearly illustrative that you hate money.

Hmmm...guess that settles it then; thanks for setting me straight sphere. I apologize for coming across like I only posted this because I wanted to hear how awesome at poker I was, that certainly wasn't my intention. In fact, in much the same way as "lol jennifertillyments" and "do you hate money?" are "good" strategy advice, I only posted the results as a way of saying "don't you also think from somebody who hasn't cold called a raise yet in six orbits that their range for calling my EP raise is pretty much only pocket pairs, in any case making KJ unlikely and their range for instabetting the turn very weighted towards sets? That's all I was trying to get at there.

To all who asked me why I didn't bet the river, it's in the second part of my last response. Nobody agrees?

In a nut shell people are trying to say you should concentrate more on what makes you the most long term profit and not concentrate on an isolated result. To me it appears that you have a very negative style that is to concerned with all the hands that beat you rather than the hands you can get value from. If you are genuinely that concerned calling down to hit your flush is a bad play. In general a draw this big should be played very aggressivley. The other massive point is how often does he check a boat to you here? Anyone who isn't completely retarded jams this river with a boat. This was a very rare outcome that has no baring on how you should of played the hand

don't overthink it. You have a really strong hand and he checked to you. Checking is really really bad. Forget about the results.

So you put villain solidly on TT/99, and call down two pot sized bets knowing you're well behind. That's even better.

To Jay and all,

Let me ask you this:

Who has more bracelets - you, or Jennifer Tilly?

Put that in your collective pipes and smoke it.
