Re: AQ unimproved
I know he isnt me. But if I decide I am ahead on the turn and in position but not 100%, i am going to call the river as well. An Ace or King are probably the only cards I fold to on the river. With an innocuous card on the river you are likely getting looked up. You would not checkraise AA on this board on the river so it looks like you have either AJ or nothing. With all the money invested....I look you up. I know everyone here looks for ways to win hands but I find many posters on here to take the most complicated approach and the most expensive (minus EV). SOmetimes conceding a hand and check folding the turn is the best option when you're against a curious player who is unlikely to fold. Even up to the 80/160 level I find these lines to work the best. Can we discuss the raise out of the SB with AQ? I don't love it against multiple players.

Re: AQ unimproved
no one bets this river w/o a J (if their hand is showdownable) in my 7.50/15 game, and i've never seen it in my 10/20 game. maybe thats why i dont play 20/40.
they do bet with air, however. so i like a C/C. |

Daytime Mirage 20. CO posts. UTG limps, CO knuckles, I raise AQ in the SB, BB calls as do the rest. CO is friendly with the regulars, floor, and dealer so almost certainly a regular. Flop is JJ7 two clubs, I have the Qc. I bet, CO calls. Turn is a 5. I bet, CO calls. River is a 3 no flush possible. Good sexy yes? [/ QUOTE ] I check/called and got owned by 66 cause I suck. |
