Default Aces, crappy board

Ok, afterwards, I decided I should've just bet the flop, but I didn't want to get raised and be in a tough spot, and I wanted to use some pot control on this crappy board. On the turn I called because I underrepresented my hand greatly, but what should the plan for the river be? Comments on all streets welcomed.

ya, of course you should bet the flop as your standard line. as played i can't see doing anything other than calling.

My guess is self loathing for misplaying the hand.

if you check behind on this flop you have to call a turn and river bet almost always especially when its a half pot bet..
