Odds are that you'll believe yourself to be a much much better driver than you are. So, if you find yourself thinking, "This is a bit iffy, but I can pull it off because I drive so good." don't do that.

I [censored] you not, but I got in an argument in high school with the driving instructor because of this. He honestly believed that because a big 18-wheeler weighed more, it could stop faster.
