Having a TON of problems with Cake Poker .. and now they've locked my account for no reason. (by "no reason", I mean "just because I argued with CS")

Avoid Cake Poker

also: bad software and low traffic

Dont have money at either of them to send, if I had it at epassporte I could just deposit that at cake. $30 would have been fine. Need someone to take paypal for it though.

The bugs must be related to particular types of computers and connections. I haven't been disconnected in 2 months of play. One bug occured when I left the computer for a long time and came back and stacks of chips remained on the table making it confusing/impossible to play, but that was it and I close out now when I leave for a long time.

Cashed out to ePass 3 times and took about 2 days to hit each time.

The freezing cost me about 2500$ in the last week, in two massive 5/10nl pots. I've got to get away for a bit.

[/ QUOTE ]

I wouldn't risk high limit play there. You will lose several pots each week when the glitches hit you. It's very frustrating and will put you on tilt. I hope they get things straightened away soon.

[/ QUOTE ]

in the long run, does this balance out with other people having the same glitches, and thus, presumably you winning their money in reverse? in other words, is this problem -EV or 0EV?

They do. I also heard they can easily be converted to be imported to PT because they are similar to Stars' HHs.

[/ QUOTE ]

MORE DETAILS ..... PLEASEeeee !!!!

Easily converted .... HOW ???

[/ QUOTE ]

I wrote a converter to do this. It's web based.

Currently only NL ring games are supported, but if someone needs FL or tourney support, send me some HH-files and I'll look into adding those as well.

Edit/MH: Post about this in Software and link this thread to your post. Thanks.

I just signed up with Cake two days ago, and so far no connection or freezing/crashing problems. I've seen other people seemingly have problems, unless a bunch of people just decide to randomly sit out at odd times. Also, I think I saw a post on PT forums that they're working with Cake to change the HH format so PT can read them, but there's no timeframe for this.
