Seat change questions
Ive been visiting the casino a few times a month lately just to play some 1/2NL. They have between 3-8 of these tabes running at peak times (which is when I try to play). Still its not rare for me to end up at a tight table, or a table full of obv regs. Can I ask for more than 1 seat change in a hour or 2? Is this bad etiquette or will I become a bother over time?
Just wondering how this works.. One thing I love about the intrenet, where 99% of my hands are played, is your table selection. In card rooms I feel like I don't really have one. I'm not sure on what to do in this spot. Think you can help me out guys? |

Re: Seat change questions
You're looking for a table change, not a seat change. A seat change usually means a new seat at the table you're already at. I've asked for (and gotten) 4 table changes in one hour before. |

Re: Seat change questions
I change seats and tables often, no worries. Since I am a frequent table changer, I toss the board and/or the floor a tip every now and then.
If you are a regular at a casino, this will also have the side benefit of making the floor more likely to steer you to a softer game. |

Re: Seat change questions
Reminds me of a funny thing last week. A group of us go to MGM and one of my buddies does 4 table changes inside of 45 minutes.
Guy 2 to my left asks how my bud's doing on his 5th table. I mention he's stuck. The player between us gets up and same guy leans over like he wants to tell me something secret. He starts wispering. "I'm a poker coach. I'll only say this once. You're bud's got it all wrong. If you can't find a rythym, change seats after 45 minutes." "If you still can't make anything happen after 2 hours, get a table change. But, whatever you do, never leave that second table at least for 2 more hours." I thanked him for the secret information.
