Default Iceland

I was just reading this forum and felt that it would be a decent contribution if I mentioned that I just went to Iceland and that I highly recommend it for people interested in traveling as the country is incredibly beautiful and very unique. At this time of year you have daylight for 24hrs and the nightlife in the capital Rejkavik is very good. The locals are very friendly and seem genuine. Outside of Rejkavik Iceland is essentially a volcanic wasteland and there is only one main road that goes all the way around the island hence 75% of the countries population is in Rejkavik. It really is a great adventure outside the city if that is your sort of thing with some amazing sights to do photography.
I really enjoyed my time there and suggest that anyone interested in going definitely try make it out there as its a very unique place in the world and is a somewhat unconventional place for people to go vacation so it is often overlooked. The one huge downside to the place is that it is one of the worlds most expensive places to vacation so take plenty of money. An example would be a beer in a bar costing anywhere from $10-$17. Anyways, I hope this post helps contribute to the forum if not my apologies.

Is everything else as expensive?
Do the locals speak English?
I have travelled extensively but never been to Iceland and I have never even met anyone from Iceland.
All I know about Iceland is, there are more sheep in Iceland than people.

1) Everything is very very expensive and I don't know exactly why. They have a real strong economy though and I was so surprised to see the quality of vehicles in Rejkavik. I saw many new Range Rovers, BMWs etc.
2) The locals speak perfect English.
3) I believe all their farming is based on sheep. I'm not totally sure about that. I saw loads of sheep and horses.
