Default AQ 2 pair on river, facing big c/r

EP ($294.82)
Hero ($114.25)
SB ($89.9)
BB ($217.48)

Villain is 30/14. Af. 1.33/6/3.

Preflop: Hero is Button with Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
EP calls $1, Hero raises to $5, 2 folds, EP calls $4,

Flop: A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 9[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] ($11.5)
EP checks, Hero bets $8, EP calls $8,

Turn: 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] ($27.5)
EP checks, Hero checks,

River: Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] ($27.5)
EP checks, Hero bets $20, EP raises to $95, Hero ?,

The reason I checked the turn was because villain made the call with 1sec left and I though that he was either very strong or weak. The board was also very dry.

River smells like a set or bluff. Would he make this big raise with worse 2 pair?

I call, if he had a set then he should really be betting out the turn, if not raising the flop.

Did he have QQ ?

I bet turn here. As per the timing down thing, he could have just had a decision on another table, you never know...

I probably call and take a note. Looks like a nut/air type situation. I wouldn't be surprised either way though....

You pretty much have to call here. You're only beat by a set, and a lot of people would raise with a worse two pair. The size of the bet is suspicious as well, and you may be looking at a bluff, although that is unlikely (what can he call the flop bet with that needs to bluff on the river?) Plus, you're only playing four handed, which makes top two a pretty strong hand.

Look at his flop AF, 1.33. I doubt this guy ever c/r a set on the flop here. Although the sample is over 200 hands so it may be a little bit too small to draw any conclusions?
