Insight:

I have a booth at the WSOP expo to launch my company's new product. I'd say one in 30 people I speak to who visit the booth have said they are playing in the ME, the vast majority tell me they have been at the series for the other bracelet events/cash games and are heading home now.

My prediction - just under 6,000

Wasn't Day 1A estimated at 1300? So is the number about 5500? And that's what - the 2005 number? Big drop off. Damn government.

my guess is that people winning seats from the online sites, kept the money and decided not to play the ME. 12k in hand or a lottery ticket? my friend won two seats from differnt two differnt sites. freeroll.
