Default NL 100 Cont Bet catches TPTK, Nut draw, facing CR all in

Villian is FishonTilt, who seemed a pretty solid multi-tabler. I've been a little aggressive, but not too out of line.

Poker Stars - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $0.50/$1 Blinds - 6 Players - (LegoPoker HH Converter)

SB: $39.40
BB: $118.60
UTG: $199.55
Hero (MP): $72.10
CO: $171.20
BTN: $80.20

Preflop: Hero is dealt T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (6 Players)
UTG folds, Hero raises to $4.00, 3 folds, BB calls $3.00

Flop: ($8.50) 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 Players)
BB checks, Hero bets $6.00, BB calls $6.00

Turn: ($20.50) T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 Players)
BB checks, Hero bets $16.00, BB raises all-in to $108.60, Hero???

Reload PF. Why are you playing with less than 100bb? I probably call here...

Good point, just looked at my hand history and I lost the previous pot to Villan, I guess I couldn't get the reload in time, but you're right either way and I hate playing short.

Oh - in case it changes anything (now that I looked at the full hand history including hands before and after), I showed KTo in the previous pot for a complete miss and he won with a pair, prolly affects my image on the hand in question

I wasn't a huge fan of the turn bet either after the push .

I did consider checking, but if a diamond hits the river, am I really going to get paid off unless he has the K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] exactly? I guess diamond overs/sets are a big part of his range, but so are 79, 89, 56/57 and other one pair hands, underpairs, and float hands. Finally, if the river bricks for me, I'll have to pay off most bets on river, right?

the answer to the question of betting the turn isn't the possible river action. It is what are you trying to value on the turn that also called the flop?

mid pairs, weak nines are all going to fold...

two pair, poorly played sets, draws etc. all either hit or aren't folding

I think that your thinking is close here, but the problem that I have with it is that you are assuming that he will check to you on a diamond river. FWIW, I think that this is an interesting turn decision....I think that his most likely holding is a semibluff and getting 1.4:1 may necessitate a call.

understood...I see your point.
I take it you're folding after villain pushes?

Thanks Johnny.

Shameless bump for the work week crowd.
