A push would be hilarious.

In the "It would be hilarious if I set my money on fire" sense? Or what did you mean?

But yeah, you're behind a lot on the turn.

I don't quite understand his large flop bet though. I mean, his 'overpair' can't stand much heat unimproved on further streets.

[/ QUOTE ]

You don't understand how so many villains consistently overplay overpairs? Really?

Thanks for the input guys.

This hand history is actually reversed. This is a 3-barrel bluff I fired and the villian called me with 66. He just could'nt let his PP go. I wanted to see what other players here would have done with 66.

A 79% bet is large for a dry, paired, 3-way, deepstacked, flop.

imho, it's a tell for either a monster or a bluff.

[/ QUOTE ]

In practise this is just not the case against players with appropriate bet sizing.

It would be hilarious against a solid thinking player because you're representing either 7x or 99, or maybe AA; and it would be virtually impossible to call without any of those hands.

If I had 80 buyins for the level and I got to the river in this way, I just might do it. Read on villain as solid player is paramount ofcourse.

But again; I'm just throwing it out there as an option. I'm focussing on mynameizgreg's advice on continuing to better your game, and looking for creative spots that might be +EV is one of those.

I know what you mean, and this applies mostly to the lower limits.

Like I said, it's lighting money on fire trying to get villain to fold an overpair here. But GL with that.

He's got an overpair too often to continue profitably. I think you can't push/raise the turn and you can't raise that flop to make an overpair would fold often enough. So I'd fold the turn if he bets again bet it myself if he checks to check behind on river if he calls.

Just my two cents... What do you guys think of these lines?
