Dude im grinding 10/25 NL - 20/40 NL and 100/200 limit exclusively and I only consider that to really make you enough money consistently to be comfortable. If I were you id try to save up some money and at least move to 2/5 NL.

If you're not capable of beating the 2/5 games for a good amount, it's unlikely you're going to make $40/hr long term in the 1/2 game.

I agree with at least trying to move up to 2/5 NL. I'd be willing to bet that the dayshift 1-2NL is tougher than the night and weekend crew at 2/5nl..

so bigger buyin+same amount of fish

=more profits

more profits mean you can buy your GF that nice diamond ring if you ever get caught with strange.. lol

Lol @ believing for a second that $40/hr is maintainable

EDIT: I just realized that this entire thread has to be leveling (and we all got leveled, obviously).

I honestly never commit many chips with top pair. I've learned my lesson online doing that sh*t.

[/ QUOTE ]

I bet this is a leak at 1/2.

Against certain bad players, why not fire 3 streets with AK on a A74 board when you know without a shadow of a doubt they will call you down all the way to the end with ATo?

[/ QUOTE ]

This is correct. I play a lot in L.A. and TPTK or TP2K or TPGK are usually always good heads up and many times with 2 villains, considering these pots are vs. poor players. I've called many all-ins with ATo on Axx board vs. donkeys with runner-runner flush draw face cards or 2nd pair or even air.

Anyway, good to hear you are making it OP. If you aren't comfortable, just stay where you are. I don't think anyone is really trying to attack you, just offering advice that they think might help. That's what this board is for after all. I have agreed with most of their advice as well. Good luck in your journeys.
