Re: JDags out
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] Shouldn't exposing his hand before showdown merit some sort of penalty? [/ QUOTE ] Only if he does not expose both of his cards - rules...if I remember correctly, state that they both have to be shown. [/ QUOTE ] You are correct on that rule, but it's not the correct rule to apply. It would be if they were playing a cash game. [ QUOTE ] A player who exposes his cards during the play may incur a penalty but will not have his hand killed. [/ QUOTE ] Exposing your hand early in a tournament affects every player, is a rule violation, and deserves a warning at the very least. |

Re: Long Day
"Andy Black Eliminated
In two hands and in quick succession, Andy Black is out. First hand: A player limps, Black raises to 24,000 on the button, and his opponent calls. The flop comes J-10-6 with two hearts and both players check. The turn is the {8-Diamonds}. Black's opponent checks, he bets 8,000 and is called. The river is the {3-Hearts}. Black bets 15,000 and his opponent calls. Black announces he has nothing. His opponent has 7-7 and takes it. Second hand: Soon after, Black is busted when on a 3-4-3-7 board, Black bets, another player goes all in, and Black calls with 4-5. His opponent has A-A, the river is a jack, and Black is out and leaves in a hurry. Black was the chip leader for a good part of the day, but it did not last." Surely that report cannot be right? In hand 1 the blinds are 400/800 right, and Black makes it 30bbs with no raise in front. Surely not. |

Re: Long Day
Cardplayers account seems more accurate.
Black Busts Andrew Black raised to $4,200 from the button and his opponent called from the cutoff. The flop brought the J 10 6 and both players checked. The 8 fell on the turn and the player in the cutoff checked. Black bet $8,000 and his opponent called. The 3 fell on the river and once again the player in the cutoff checked. Black bet $15,000 and his opponent quickly called with 7 7. Black mucked his hand, clearly frustrated. A few hands later he moved in on a flop of 4-3-3 holding 5-4, only to run into the A-A of an opponent. After the turn and river bricked off Black was sent to the rail thats some class A tilting from Black, word is he shoved 45k on that 433 flop |
