He is betting AA here like 5% of the time imo.

agree you're usually beat, however very LAGGY players will bet this with QQ-AA more than 5%, certainly more often than we need to call profitably.

against a passive player you can easily C/F.

I like the way you've played this. As played I'd definitely call down.

What do people think about betting out the turn here? I feel like a turn bet followed by a raise from our opponent would narrow his holdings more than the checkraise/three bet, but I'm not certain. Seems like most LAGs would be willing to bet/three bet without a J, but would be tighter to raise after a flop bet following the PF action...

Guess I forgot point about villian being LAGGY but still I usually fold, not getting enough equity in this situation imo.

Yep, I just got beaten by this exact hand. TT883 board, I had AA. He checks river, I bet, he calls and shows 33 FTW.

(btw action went, flop: check/bet/call, turn: check/check, river: check/bet/call (of course you check a set 3 streets in a row...)

Why not bet the turn? If you get called or raised here you know where you are and hands like 33 or j9 are folding.

(Actually I am referring to your hand, but yes I think OP should have bet turn, doesn't matter that much though)

Oh, sorry, I just posted the board, not the actual order... my mistake. No, the thing was that he flopped a set, and on the turn the board highcard paired. So it was T83/T/8.

I considered leading the turn and, in retrospect, probably should have done so in the unlikely event villan was overplaying a pp of QQ+ on the flop and decided to check the turn to get to showdown more cheaply. His flop raises were near instantaneous, however, and I felt certain he would bet it. My thinking at the time (perhaps flawed given my limited read on him) was that he would just call the turn check raise with a big pp (given the pot size), but raise any hand with at least a jack and allow me to cap it.

Obviously, the river T was about the worst card I could have seen. Anybody like a b/f line on the river?
