Flopped trips, meh kicker
Villain has loose/aggro stats but I haven't seen him get out of line at all. 3 bet flop and call a shove? Shove turn? Fold turn?
FWIW, his flop raise was pretty instant, and his flop bet was noticably quick too. SB: $262.90 Hero (BB): $395.75 UTG: $212.45 MP: $200.00 CO: $136.85 BTN: $109.35 Preflop: Hero is dealt 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (6 Players) UTG calls $2.00, 2 folds, BTN calls $2.00, SB calls $1.00, Hero checks Flop: ($8) 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (4 Players) SB checks, Hero bets $8.00, UTG folds, BTN calls $8.00, SB raises to $28.00, Hero calls $20.00, BTN folds Turn: ($72) 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 Players) SB bets $60.00, Hero? |

Re: Flopped trips, meh kicker
i would fold. he craised big ur pot bet vs 3opp on pretty dry flop. he is certainly repping trips or better. if he has trips, it is more likely that he has a better 4, only giving us 2outs.
from his flop and turn action, it is likely that he will shove river(he has a little less than psb on river), which u can't call. i would fold and find a better spot. |

Re: Flopped trips, meh kicker
i stacked off yesterday like this. felt so dirty.
(actually i c/r flop he c/r the turn and i was like uhhhh) but it's really the same thing. we beat nothing. fold. being able to make these folds will take you to the next level as a player. |

Re: Flopped trips, meh kicker
Ahead of 34 46 goofy stuff, behind 45 A4 55. I'd just make it $180 on the turn. Last thing you want to see is a 9-A on the river when your kicker no longer even plays and you're facing a big bet in a spot where you're likely playing to split or lose.

Re: Flopped trips, meh kicker
That is true. Looks like a fold then if you think he never shows up with something strange here.
8s4h 38.89% 55,42,43,45,46,A4s,K4s,Q4s,J4s 61.11% .3889*304 + .6111*-232 = -$23.54 I guess it comes down to if you're willing to pay off the timing tell. |
