[ QUOTE ]
you didn't answer my question. [/ QUOTE ] He was saying that Sharapova had poor "sportsmanship", while Henin engages in gamesmanship, two completely different things. |

Henin also yells the same [censored] going, "LE!!!" or whatever French [censored] that comes out of her mouth [/ QUOTE ] she yells "Allez" (GO) in french the men's semis are starting at 12pm (7est) tomorrow. gasquet has to play fed 16 hours after that 5 setter. he is going to get smoked. djokovich has got to be toast as well after back to back 4+ hour matches against hewitt and baghdatis. nadal MIGHT be a little tired after playing like 4 straight days. that guy is a machine. hopefully the [censored] rain delays are over. the roddick/gasquet match was very good. |

Re: Official Wimbledon thread (and classic Borg-McEnroe final rerun)
Just watched the match, [censored] Gasquet will never play that good again. Either way its going to be Nadal/Federer in the final and I'd be surprised if either lost a set tomorrow. Also the 5th set in the Djokovic/Baghdatis match was awesome tennis.

Anyone else think there's a good chance Nadal is on roids? |

Re: Official Wimbledon thread (and classic Borg-McEnroe final rerun)
[ QUOTE ]
Anyone else think there's a good chance Nadal is on roids? [/ QUOTE ] hell no. tennis probably has the most rigid testing guidlines for roids. these people are nazis when it comes to performance enhancing drugs. take the case of mariano puerta (from wikipedia). "In 2003 Puerta received a two-year doping suspension after testing positive for clenbuterol at Viña del Mar. In his defense he argued that the substance had been administered to him by his doctor to combat asthma and that it had no performance-enhancing effect. The sanction was subsequently reduced to nine months suspension and a US$5600 fine. In 2005, he was once again banned, this time after he tested positive for the use of the cardiac stimulant etilefrine. The suspension was for 8 years, the longest so far in tennis history. Puerta also had his results disqualified from every event from the 2005 French Open onwards, and forfeited all his entry ranking points and prize money. Since he had recently lost the French Open final to Spain's Rafael Nadal, that signified a loss of €443,282 (£300,671, $456,000). The International Tennis Federation tribunal noted, however, that "The amount of etilefrine in his body was too small to have any effect on his performance" [1]. Puerta appealed against the ban, claiming on his web site that he only ingested trace amounts of it accidentally left over by his wife in a glass. On July 12, 2006 his suspension was reduced to 2 years by the Court of Arbitration for Sport, making him eligible to restart his career on June 5th 2007." and guillermo canas just got his suspension overturned. its the opposite of baseball, where the heierchy is so overzealous that innocent players have their careers ruined to protect the integrity of the sport. |

Re: Official Wimbledon thread (and classic Borg-McEnroe final rerun)
no one seems to be talking about the fact nadal is really coming alive here at wimbledon, last year was totally different, his road to the final was much easier. If he wins his semi final match, he would have beat youzhny, berdych, and djokovic, all of whom have given him trouble in the past. He's beaten guys who owned him on hard courts(berdych), granted, the court is playing slower, he still is putting on a serious show and the fact that hes beaten these guys on grass is a big deal. If he gets to federer, hes going to have a legitimate shot at winnning

[/ QUOTE ] Yes, youzhny lost a little after the second set, but nadal clearly stepped his game up big time, hes never played better on grass and the courts are playing slower than ever before, and if i were federer, I would be a little worried. |

Just watched the match, [censored] Gasquet will never play that good again. [/ QUOTE ] Gasquet is the most talented player in tennis besides Federer. You will see him play better than today many many times and he will have a better career than Roddick. |
