live 6/12- 2 pair counterfeited and raised on the river

Thanks for the comments. I raised the turn because I thought 2 pair was best, but also because I thought he might be trying to steal the pot. I realized I was counterfeited, but also thought that a continuation bet on the river might take down the pot as my turn raise was representing a straight. I figured if he made the straight he would have 3-bet me right away on the turn. I didn't figure the river 8 made him trips since he hadn't bet the flop. I was hoping that betting on the river might get him to fold a 7 or maybe get a crying call from an A or something.

I bet the river, with the intention of folding to a raise. So I guess I am learning. So I get raised and I folded.

Guy drags the pot and flips over K9......

Oh well!
