Default Set vs. Coordinated board......... Is this spew?

I do not do this all the time. I thought I was ahead here and took a shot.

Not going to say I put these guys on exact hands but I did not think UTG had Ak (given post flop play from prior hands) and knew the other guy did not because he would have blasted away pre-flop given the way he was playing prior.

Anyway it is early in the 15k guarantee on Stars with 3k in starting chips if that means anything.

I understand I probably did not have to go broke. What is best here? Raise the flop and see where I stand, check call or something else I am missing. Is the board too coordinated to do a move?

Raise flop. Slowplaying on boards like this is deadly.

I Agree, any 2 hearts, AK,A10, K10, 10 9, 10 8, 9 8 all have draws.

i don't like it i would have called flop(not as a sloplay) and turn and folded river. jj qq ak are very likely here. the board pairing doesn't even make me that happy bc i have a possible underfull

why do you give these guys ranges or AK-QQ-JJ? I dont see anything preflop that would make me think that.

That said im definatly making a nice sized raise on this flop and maybe i could get away from it if theres alot of action ahead of me.

Pre flop is fine as you have the option of playing for set value if you want.

I raise the flop here (maybe ~600) as even if I'm against a straight I can boat up, and this early a lot of worse hands are calling and I assume I'm ahead.

Slow playing this is crazy.

I would rather fold TT preflop than play the flop this way.

Stop seeing monsters under the bed. JJ and QQ are not very likely here. AK is believable, but I'm not going to let go of my hand because one combination of plausible hands has me beat. Especially when QJ, QT, JT, AQ, Q9, KQ, KJ, and KT will ALL pay me off here. Not just that, they're way more likely from an odds perspective.

I think you played it just fine. Given the pot and stack sizes and scary board, I think it is best to just call the flop and wait until a bricky turn to get jiggie with it.

I don't like raising the flop. There are too many turn cards that put you in a tough spot where have committed a significant portion of your stack. Maybe pushing after the flop minraise is a reasonable idea.
