Re: Arieh eliminated
I was just going to say that. Right now I'm on vacation, but when I was at work, the only link I had to the WSOP I had, was this message board.
Couldn't access any of the poker websites at all (besides this forum), not even www.twoplustwo.com itself. |

Re: Arieh eliminated
Why are they taking 30 minute breaks? I understand there are a lot of players that need to use the restrooms but anything longer than 20 minutes is excessive.

Anyone do a double take upon seeing Murder Inc's Irv Gotti in the top 5? [/ QUOTE ] Man, given what I've heard about his connections, winning more money and inviting greater scrutiny might not be the best thing for him. Murder Inc was supposed to be tied to some pretty nasty dudes (thus the great irony in Ja Rule turning into a pop star) |

Re: ** WSOP ME, $10,000 NLHE, Day 1A , Friday, July 6 **
[ QUOTE ]
hmmm.. Where's Vinny Vinh? Vinny Vinh was supposed to be playing on Day 1a. His real name is Quoc Vinh and he was assigned to Table 40, Seat 9. He did not show up on time and his stack started to get blinded off. His friends indicated that Vinh was in the hospital an unable to play. They tried to get him a refund. Jack Effel was called in and made the decision to remove Vinh's stack. He will be able to get a refund or play on another day if he decides to. [/ QUOTE ] Can anyone confirm this? |

As far as the dudes he was connected to, yeah, Murder Inc basically shut down because they were funneling crack and murder for hire related profits through the company. |

I registered this morning at ~7AM. There were about 6 ppl in line. At the cage I was offered Friday or Monday. Sat and Sunday were full (3k each?) Having just flown in last night I picked Monday. Jet lag is brutal. Day 1D Table 220 Seat 8 [/ QUOTE ] it has changed now. I was able to register for any day I wanted a few hours ago. I play Sunday. |

Johnny Chan and Raymond Davis Seated Together
Johnny Chan and Raymond Davis are now seated together at Table 196 and there's no shortage of trash-talking (or ESPN presence) at their table. One of their opponents is playing some serious "Kill Phil"-style poker, moving all-in almost any time he's in a pot. "You're playing great, man. Just keep moving all in. Someone's gonna catch you," quipped Davis as he was forced to fold another hand. "You know, it worked for Moneymaker back in 2003," said another opponent with a laugh. |
