Seating selection question
I have been thinking about this for some time. I do a lot of table selection, and I often play in 3-handed games with one fish and one player who is at least as good at myself. But is the most profitable to have position on the fish or the good player?
When I have sat sit down on a table like this, I have always chosen to sit in a seat that gave me position on the fish in 2 out of three hands. And if more people joined I would still have position on him. I am begining to question this strategy. I feel I get into too many uncomfortable hands against the good player if he is loose and likes to push me around (and they pretty much all do ). I don't think there is an easy answer to this. But where would you sit and why? What conditions would make you sit to the left/right of the fish? |

Re: Seating selection question
Fish are fish in or oop. I'd much rather have position on the good player.

Re: Seating selection question
you get a lot more opportunities to take money from the fish since he plays a lot more hands.
you won't get involved with the good player as often. take the position on the fish. |

position on the good player, betting INTO the fish [/ QUOTE ] Really depends on the skill differential between you and the other good player. If the good player is Straate, I'm sitting behind him. |
