25NL (9Max): 77, scared of an overcard.
Not so much read on Villain. He seems to be a bit calling happy. Should I fire Turn or River for value?

Re: 25NL (9Max): 77, scared of an overcard.
Just to nit-pick I bet $3.50-$4 on the flop.
The rest is good. I feel pretty good about your hand on the end, but there's not much value in a bet. If 88-QQ called the flop they are likely to call again, Kx calls, and the missed draws that you beat fold anyway. |

I'd have bet the turn and checked river. Is it fine also?

[/ QUOTE ] I agree that not a lot of hand will call. However, there are a lot of hands you don't want to give a free card. These paired board can go both ways. Given your read I would lean towards betting here, but checking is fine too. If your read was "villain calls too much" I would say betting the turn is better. |

Re: 25NL (9Max): 77, scared of an overcard.
hmmm... your play is completely standard. The merits to betting the turn and river are to move him off of 88-QQ and less than KJo and to charge a flush draw. I can't imagine given your description that he will fold a king to 3 barrels and I can't see the play as profitable unless he does.
