For the record, it didn't matter much how you played this hand, you were going to lose to a sucker who calls J6s to an early position raise. If you thought the MP would bet on flop but not the UTG player, you could have check-raised to make the other player face two bets cold and have to lay down any piddling draws. However, he had the flush draw, and you had no way of making the odds favorable. The check raise was a bit much on the turn, I agree, and you still were giving proper odds for a flush call, especially one with a pair. The UTG player had 14 possible outs with decent odds, that's just the way it goes, use this hand to go after the donk (very very weak cold call out of position).
