Default do i have to raise turn?

6 handed. co raises (taggish stats, but makes frequent seemingly bad plays). but 3bets (51/17 and makes lots of bad calls, will make plays, etc). I cap in sb w/ JJ. super loose (80ish vpip, but not a maniac) calls.

Flop comes 685 w/ 2 spades, and i dont have one. I bet, 2 calls, button raises, i 3 bet, 2 more calls, button caps, all call.

Turn is the 5 of clubs. Folded around to button, who bets. Here, given the action, he could of course easily have an overpair (99 - AA), but could also have a draw, etc, or even garbage. Do I have to raise the turn, given the huge pot?

I certainly would. Definitely worht protecting, and I don't think you're that far behind his range (if at all).

and call down if 3bet by him? I think at that point my decision is tough, cuz im very likely behind (he is not incredibly spewy), but may still have to call down. but the game is about making close decisions, so i guess shouldnt fear that, if raising turn is clearly correct (and it seems this is the case).

btw, nice posts in the other thread! i am trying to figure out how to best apply MoP specifically to short limit, but am confounded on how exactly to do this. Seems you have some ideas!

How do you play the river if he raises the turn to your donk after both players call?

On a Q?
K?
A?
How about a flush or str8 completing card?

If you believe this guy will bet the turn with a flush draw than check/raising the turn is better than betting.

Its too hard for me to say how I would play the river if 3 other people are seeing the river card. Just know this, Im probably not showing down if theres a new bettor on the river and I believe he's sane.

And if a really bad card hits the river and the turn raiser still bets into 3 people and I dont think he's a maniac, I would probably fold JJs there also.

If a blank hits the river and its checked to the turn villain, I think I would have to make a crying call hoping the turn raiser somehow had 99/TT
