the ikea guy was no.1 a year ago! [/ QUOTE ] That was later retracted as false. Caused by some embarassing miscalculation, IIRC. |

Re: Bill Gates you are no longer BBV KING
No gates plays 3/6 limit. My roommate was playing in AC and the table next to him was Bill Gates playing the same game. He said pros kept comming up to him asking if he wanted to play a bigger game and Gates kept turnning them down. He didnt become rich by losing a lot of money.

Re: Bill Gates you are no longer BBV KING
[ QUOTE ]
Mr Gates has headed the Forbes list of the world's wealthiest for more than a decade. But, like Mr Buffett, he is rapidly becoming as well known for giving his money away as he is for accumulating it. Both he and the "Sage of Omaha" have promised to give most of their money to charitable causes. [/ QUOTE ] Gates is still king in my book. Also he does only play small stakes. When you consider that with ~60 billion in assets, 3/6 is pretty much the same as 300/600 or 30,000/60,000 to him, so he'd rather play at a level where he has fun. It's like choosing between 0.000001/0.000002 and 0.01/0.02 for us normal folks. |

"This is estimated to have boosted his fortune to an estimated $67.8bn (£33.6bn) - equivalent to 8% of Mexico's gross domestic product"
