Re: NL100 - slowplay AKs
There is no such thing as slowplaying AK preflop, just reraise. Flop play is fine, you will have 15 oiuts most of the time, plus a good chance to fold out small overpairs.

Re: NL100 - slowplay AKs
all fine imo. u CANNOT always raise/rerasise with AKs u have to mix it up and occassionaly just call with it. im talking only about 1 out of 10 or perhaps even more but if u always raise with it thats not good poker. u should'nt ever do the same thing the same way every single time because that could add a small amount of predictability to your game. (IMO!!)

[/ QUOTE ] Assuming you are a very aggressive Player at a table and your raises don't earn proper respect. Would you consider slowplaying a hand like AKs rather than AA,KK,etc? I tend to mix up my play, let's say 1/10 Times by just calling with Hands to disguise the strength of my Hand and to win Big if i hit correctly. I am not saying i call with AKs everytime, but whats wrong with doing so now and then? Especially if you know that you have no problem laying it down on Flop if there's not the proper flop. |

You want to get called light in these spots. Live I think you need to mix up play, but in the revolving door of online poker is there really a point. Raise your monsters, no real need to get tricky, unless you are playing the same guy over several tables and he seems competent. |

Re: NL100 - slowplay AKs
and you have a cold caller from MP, someones calling your raise-- maybe if its just the button raising and we know hes very aggressive and can't fold top pair then maybe a call might be profitable in certain situations but no need to get fancy with more than one person in the hand
