Re: Hello there....
3k starting chips for freezeouts would be great. I think for PLO it just makes more sense.
I'd like to see a guaranteed rebuy, possibly 6 max, during peak hours. A $3 6-max omaha 4-6k guaranteed would hit the spot, possibly adding a $10 rebuy to the lineup after a while if it goes well. Model it after the late $5 rebuy that runs nightly, only perhaps make it 10 min levels at first so that the weaker players can get deep and raise interest. The $10 rebuy in the morning is nice, but no good for most US players. Also, I'd like to see more deepstack omaha tourneys. I LOVE the $20 on tuesday. Anything $20-$100 would be great. I know there's a $30, but it's really late. Lastly, I know you have to cater to the European crowd with omaha, but lots of people in the southern US play too, so do some tourneys good for central & eastern residents. |

Re: Hello there....
In all honesty, Omaha is a terrible tournament game and a fantastic cash game. Most people will tell you they want deep stack games to counter the large variance but this changes nothing. All it means is that the tournament "crap shoot" starts two levels later rather than earlier.
There isn't an easy way to make pot limit Omaha into a good tournament game in my opinion. As for cash games there is though. Introduce deep stack tables where players have to buy in for minimum 100 bets with a maximum of 500 bets. The short stack strategy at Omaha will ruin the game. People buying in for 20 bets and shoving preflop cripple tables. |

Re: Hello there....
I used to believe this until I started playing re-buys. The extra chips make a big difference. Of course, it still can't compare with PLO cash, but it's much better than simply delaying everything by two levels.
The important thing is that we can make PLO tourneys a lot better. |

Re: Hello there....
If you want to fix PLO tourneys, make an all-in button once you get below M=10.

Re: Hello there....
MY GOD...PLEASE, HEADS UP CASH GAMES. SORRY TO KEEP NAGGING (NOT REALLY) BUT WHY THE FFFFF NOT?????? WOULD LOVE TO HAVA CONVO ON WHY THIS WOULDN'T WORK. PM ME IF THIS ISN'T THE BEST PLACE FOR IT.
For the best PLO MTT... IT would have to be big stack and slow blind structure IMO. I would LOOOOOOVE to see some Deep stack few table SNG PLOs tho. Anyone think a 24 person 6max PLO SNG would be fun? I'd be down. |

To the regulars who don't play tourneys, I'd appreciate it if you could perhaps tell Brian why you don't play tourneys. PLO players seem to play cash much more than NLHE players and I think this is a problem for our beloved game since tourneys can be an extremely effective way to introduce new players, but sites like PS won't think much about PLO if we don't play their tourneys. [/ QUOTE ] tournaments are a fun novelty, but they shouldn't really replace cash games as the way poker is played. A bit like Indian poker. |
