On the third hand it looks like he picked up a straight or a goofy 2 pair on the end. The bet looks too small for a bluff, particularly for a splashy player. Nevertheless, I think you have to call just because you're getting 4.5 to one on the call

thac, just call the last hand...way too thin for value in a raise and you can't fold.

Value betting is fine in the first hand. Villain's like this usually don't bet with worse hands if you check to them on the river. The way you'll make your money is in the fact that he cannot fold marginal hands.
